The State Border Guard Service of Ukraine (SBGS) is the special law enforcement agency empowered by national legislation to carry out activities in accordance with established procedures to include: border control and transfer of people, vehicles, cargo and other property across the state border of Ukraine, including the detection and interception of illicit transfers of radiological and nuclear materials.

The aim of this project was to provide State Border Guard Service (SBGS) of Ukraine with reserve power equipment, which was needed after the damage and destruction of main power infrastructure throughout Ukraine by Russian military forces. The provision of reserve power equipment will ensure preservation of SBGS capabilities in detection, localization, and handling of illicit nuclear and radiological materials at the Ukrainian borders.
